It’s hard to get used to the bipolar weather lately here in Cebu. If it’s not scorching in the morning, it’s raining cats and dogs in the afternoon and it seems to get worse in the evening. Hello, rainy season! Either way, a cup of something hot like milk or hot chocolate (but in my case, an ice-cold frappuccino haha) and a jar of cookies in a room of warm feels always sounds nice.

I was told that the café was inspired by the hit 2007 romantic Korean comedy “Coffee Prince” and I’m sure Filipinos who are enthusiasts of Korean Telenovela are familiar of this. Haha! Fans can tell that the servers’ uniforms are the same with those worn by the protagonists–black vest over a white polo shirt matched with black pants.

The vibe inside Coffee Prince is really delightful with all the cutie interiors and noteworthy small details. There are cubicles nestled around available for squatting, including upstairs. The best part of the cafe? The place is stuffed with teddies, all imported from Korea.

Their menu stretches from a variety of pastas and sandwiches to pastries. My favorite is their choco waffle, topped with two scoops of chocolate ice cream and whipped cream, sprinkled with chocolate and caramel syrup with crushed oreo cookies. (Yum!). Simply a sweet piece of comfort!

A different take of sandwich is the Bulgogi Panini, which is grilled triangular bread with a filling of sweet Korean meat, mozzarella cheese, garlic, and red bell peppers. Comes with a side dish of fries as well.

For beverages, coffee and non-coffee based drinks are available such as the strawberry and chocolate latte, hot or iced espressos, smoothies, and frappes. Being a caffeine buff that I am, I ordered the coffee crumble.
Speaking of fancy cafés, I heard that there are also a lot of new ones popping around CDO and I’m really looking forward to trying them all when I get back soon. This week, I’m gonna go on a café hunt with some fellow Kagay-anons who are also here in Cebu. Can’t wait to share with you all our food crawl!
