No matter how fit you are, you will find that you go through periods where it seems your mojo has left you. Your sporting mojo that is! But you needn’t worry. Sporting mojos never leave for good. In fact, there are plenty of ways you can try and coax it back. Once it returns, you will feel motivated once again, and ready to give everything you’ve got to all your workouts!
Why Did It Go In The First Place?
You need to ask yourself why you lost your sporting mojo in the first place. The reason could be in your control, and you might be able to do something about it. For instance, maybe you are finding it difficult to get back into your fitness routine after a bout of illness? In this case, you just need to slowly increase your activity level once you feel better. Over time, your mojo should return. However, there may be some cases in which the reason for your loss of motivation is out of your control. An example of this is bad weather. After all, no one really fancies going out for a run in the pouring rain! If the reasons for losing your mojo are out of your control, simply give yourself a couple of days off. The break could do you good, and you should, hopefully, return to your workouts ready to give all you’ve got!
Add Some Fun Into Your Workouts
If your workouts aren’t fun, you certainly aren’t going to feel overly motivated. In fact, you will probably end up extremely frustrated. And that is going to completely kill your motivation! So it is important that you do your best and try and inject some fun into your workouts. You don’t have to take each exercise sessions seriously. One cool idea would be to just hit the park with some of your friends and play a game of soccer. Get everyone to wear some bubble soccer suits, and you will probably end up laughing so much that you forget you're even exercising!
Get Paid For Working Out
If you turn your workout into a job and get paid for it, there is no way your mojo will ever disappear for too long. After all, you have all the money to keep you motivated! Interested to learn how you can turn your workouts into a job? There are a number of ways! The most obvious is to become a gym instructor. To do this, simply get good at one of your gym classes. Then all you need to do is take a qualification for teaching gym. After that, you will be able to hold your own classes! This is a great job that you can do as much or as little of. So it’s great for students who want to earn some cash alongside their studies.
Register For Races And Fun Runs
One of the best ways to keep your motivation as high as possible is to register for a race or fun run. Obviously, whichever one you go for will depend on your current fitness level. If you are new to jogging and running, then you are probably better off starting off with a local fun run. Once you get fitter and build your confidence, you will be able to start entering marathons! By entering events, you are giving yourself a goal to work towards. Giving yourself goals is a great way to keep hold of your mojo. After all, who doesn’t want to achieve all the goals they set themselves?!
Try A Different Workout
Do you feel like you have tried loads of different ways to get your mojo back, but none are working? Then maybe your heart just isn’t in the sport of the type of workout you’ve been doing. Don’t worry, though; there will be lots of other sports and workouts that you can try! There is a reason why there are so many different types of gym classes and sports out there. And it’s because we all have different tastes and preferences when it comes to working out! Some people love cardio workouts while others prefer to work on their strength training, for example. You just need to try a few different activities until you find one that you fall in love with.
Don’t panic if you think you’ve lost your sporting mojo. Following all of the above tips should help you get it back in no time at all. And you’ll find that you enjoy working out once again!
