Going For The Burn: Hardcore Workouts That Melt Excess Fat

Exercise doesn’t always have to be pushing yourself to your ultimate limits, to the point where you’re absolutely exhausted. However, any exercise that does get you feeling like this will be getting to work extremely quickly! Whether you want to get fit in a hurry, or you just don’t have a whole lot of extra time in the day to work out, then you want exercises that will work fast. Looking to really get serious with exercise and go for the burn? Here are some of the ways you can melt away excess fat fast, and quickly improve your fitness levels.

Treadmill on Incline

There are few things more treacherous than the treadmill on the steepest incline. If you can already run on a treadmill fairly easily, crank up the steepness for a quick and efficient way to really push yourself. Aim to run with the incline on for a little longer each time, flattening it out again in between to catch your breath.

Stair Machine

If you want a fast, efficient workout then a stair machine, or even a building with lots of flights of stairs is a good way to go. Even if you exercise regularly you’ll probably find the stairs can catch your breath quickly, not only are you working your muscles but you’re also defying gravity too. If stairs are your nemesis, building up your strength using weights is a good way to battle fatigue, and should make them easier to manage.

HIIT Training

So what is High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)? Well, it’s where you do thirty seconds of high intensity exercise followed by thirty seconds of rest. This type of training gets your heart rate up (and keeps it up) and burns more fat in less time than traditional workouts. Not only does it burn an insane amount of calories during the workout, but you will also continue to burn them for longer afterwards too. HIIT workouts can be tailored to your current fitness level, with easier exercises being used for beginners and harder ones for the super fit. You could join a class, or hire a personal trainer to assist you.

Weighted Vest

If you’re already super fit and find you have to workout for a long time to feel the effects, try wearing a weighted vest. It will tire you out much more quickly, meaning you’ll get more out of your exercise in a short space of time. The more you strengthen and improve the heavier weights you can add. It means that even bodyweight exercises (something very fit people will have no issue with usually) suddenly become challenging again.

Body Pump

Body Pump classes combine cardio and strength training using weights, complete with upbeat music. These rigorous yet fun workouts will raise your heart rate and burn a whopping six hundred calories an hour. Creating such a calorie deficit will see you drop excess weight easily, and the exercises will help to shape and tone your body.
