The place is famous for its– of course – banana dishes!!! Haha! Best of all, every single thing on the menu will have a touch of banana in it, and the friendly staff is more than happy to assist you in selecting your dish.

If you’re a banana person (like myself) and would love to have your dishes with anything banana in it, then this is the place for you. The Spare Ribs with Banana BBQ Sauce, the Humbanana Cue, the Sisag (sisig & saging), and the Saging ni Naty (cold drink with fresh banana) are must-tries! The Overload Garlic Chicken Baked in Olive Oil with Banana Chutney is my favorite, the baked chicken drenched in olive oil and garlic with bake baby potatoes on the side. Yum!!!
My friends and I were really surprised that this place serves a variety of dishes from beef, chicken, pork, and seafood. We actually thought they only serve banana desserts lol.

ALAM MO BAnana? FUN FACT ABOUT BANANAS (I found this at the bottom of their menu):
- There is no such thing as a banana tree. Bananas grow on plants.
- Banana plants are the largest plants on earth without a woody stem.
- The word ‘banan’ is Arabic for finger.
- A cluster of bananas is called a hand and cosists of 10 to 20 bananas, which are known as fingers.

Sagingrepablik definitely has a charm that makes it stand out from the rest of the fancy food spots. This place is a must-visit when you’re planning to go to Davao City. They’re located at V. Mapa St, Poblacion District, Davao City. If you’re not familiar with the streets of Davao, a taxi ride would help you get to the place or you can use your google map.

P.S. It’s best if you go there in daytime for better lighting haha!
